“Jo” Pollard made Jamaica part of this historical event. It was also
the first time Jamaica was to have a representative at Miss Asia Pacific
International along with several other Caribbean, South American and
African countries to follow.
The purpose of the pageant was to promote leisure, travel and tourism of South China region.
